The Delavan product has been a part of the automobile transport industry for more than 60 years. In 2013, Lohr and Miller Industries formed a new venture, Delavan Automotive LLC, to provide high quality Delavan product to the U.S. and Canada.
Delavan has been associated with the LOHR Group since 1998.

Delavan Welding commenced by Milford N. Lempke, Alfred J. Gentile and John J. Johnston. Initially, Delavan’s primary business was making storage racks and boxes, and welding repairs for local airplane plants, which later expanded into the manufacture of Automobile Transport Trailers. Later, came Head Ramps to haul vehicles.
Production of Automobile Transport Equipment was raised to 15 units per month.

Ryder System, Inc purchases Delavan Welding. Over the next 26 years Delavan did business as Delavan Industries, Inc.

1998
Delavan is sold as a stand alone Automobile Transport Equipment Manufacturer to LOHR Industrie.
LOHR is the worldwide leader in Automotive Transport Equipment, having the majority of its’ operation in Europe, Mexico and Asia.
Synergies and quality practices acquired among a diversified array of customers helped to bring innovative solutions for the North American market.

2005
Delavan introduces the US LOHR to the North American market, an innovative design offering quick loading and flexibility. This hauler is the first one to feature the unique pin-less solution for cylinders available in the worldwide marketplace: Auto-lock Cylinders (LOHR Patent).

Delavan, combining LOHR’s Engineering Team and Miller's manufacturing expertise, have formed Delavan Automotive LLC to manufacture and sell Delavan products in the US and Canada. With Miller's Greeneville, TN facility manufacturing the Delavan products, we will meet our customers' expectations with the highest quality products. We look forward to providing the automotive transport industry with innovative products and exceptional customer service.
